Illuminate Springfield
A festival of light

Springfield, Ohio
December 11, 2021

Illuminate Springfield festival of light art is ready to go this weekend!

We had to let go of Friday, due to weather, but we will be going strong on Saturday.  We will be featuring 15 works of light art including large-scale projections, interactive video works and performances featuring light.

Be sure to wear your lights - necklaces, hats, full-body light costumes what ever you have.  Bring it down to the cCenter of town on Saturday and share some light.

The festival will feature a unique combination of large-scale projection mapping on historic buildings, light-art installations, performances and hands-on experiences for people of all ages.  AuroraMAX will bring the energy of light as spectacle to the downtown core of Springfield, Ohio on Saturday December 11th.

AuroraMAX is producing  Illuminate Springfield, a festival of light-based art, in collaboration with the Greater Springfield Partnership, the City of Springfield, the Greater Springfield CVB, Frank Lloyd Wright's Westcott House and other community partners. AuroraMAX is planned as part of the Holiday in the City celebration, and it is supported by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, as well as Springfield's business and philanthropic community.
